UIUC Newsgroups: Since it took me forever to figure out how to access the University's newsgroups, here's a rundown. Using Outlook Express 6.0 (comes bundled with Internet Explorer, which is free to download off the internet), go to tools-->accounts, and click on add, and select news. Then enter your name as you want it to appear with your posts, click next, enter an email, and click next. Then enter news.cso.uiuc.edu for the server name, click next and then finish. It took me forever to find the server name. Then click on close and a window will pop up asking if you would like to view a list of the newsgroups on that server, so do this. Most of the ones for classes are like uiuc.classes.ece205.
